Tel moshlay Aar machh Bhaja

A very quick fish recipe is this Tel moshlay Aar machh Bhaja. This is basically a fried fish recipe with some spices. I am sure you already know that Aar fish is a oily fish type without any scale and it is very tasty. The maid of my house used to make a chili fish out of this Aar fish and it was very tasty. My mom in law was an artist on this recipe and I am just trying to follow her recipe. I am yet to achieve the taste created by her. I always try to follow the process that she used to do. We serve it with regular dal bhat.

I would like to share a word of caution for all new cooks here. Be very very careful while cooking or frying Aar fish. They splutter a lot and if you are not careful, you will be hurt with hot oil. I myself have lots of burn marks on my hand because of this fish.

This is a dry dish without any gravy. However, the fried onion will help you relish the dish even with rice. In case, you want some gravy dish for your beloved Aar machh, you may try this recipe of Aar Machh Bhapa or steamed Aar fish.
