Matar Daler Bora r jhal

Ever since we have decided to go veg at least two days in a week, I have tried few of my grandma’s recipe. Being a widow, they were deprived of any non-veg items and were relying on various preparation of lentils for their protein needs. Matar dal or split pea dal has played a very prominent role in their diet and one such preparation is this Matar Daler Bora r jhal. I have tried to follow her recipe to the tee but somehow could not replicate the same taste, at least that is what I feel. I think I am missing her loving touch .
