Do you remember the katla machher rosha recipe that I have cooked and posted few days back? It is a super hit recipe from my kitchen and using the same ingredients, I have made this Bhetki Rosha. Because of the taste of the fish, this dish also came out very nicely. We have enjoyed it with plain rice. This can be served with some pulao as well.
Ingredients for Bhetki Rosha
- Bhetki fish – 6 pieces
- Curd – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri chili powder – 1/2 tsp
- Green chili – 4-5
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Chopped garlic – 1 tsp
- Tomato – , chopped
- Mustard oil for cooking
- Salt and turmeric – as required
How to make Bhetki Rosha
Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric.
Make a paste of ginger paste, salt, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chili powder and curd. Mix well so that no lump is formed. Add 1-2 tbsp of water as required.
Fry the fish pieces in mustard oil.
Fry them till golden brown. You may need to fry them in batches.
In a fresh pan, add some mustard oil and then add the green chili and garlic.
Fry till the garlic starts changing color and then add the chopped tomato. Cook till the tomato is mashed.
Add the masala paste and fry till oil starts coming out of the masala.
Pour a cup of hot water and allow it to boil. Then slide the fried fish pieces carefully into the gravy.
Cook for 6-7 minutes till the fishes are cooked through and gravy reaches the desired consistency.
Adjust the seasoning and remove from heat. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves.
Serve with plain rice.
At my initial days of blogging, we, bloggers, used to interact with each other and created a lot of post just to support each other. I am thinking of recreating them again with my fellow bloggers. Few of them are still into blogs, and some of them have found some other interest areas and moved ahead. I still miss them a lot and through this post like to tell them that I have enjoyed your company, even if it is virtual.
