Though we are not able to celebrate Durgapuja since last year, the way we used to celebrate due to Corona, nevertheless Durgapuja is Durgapuja irrespective of whether we are out pandal hopping or confined ourselves at home avoiding crowd. Now let me share my plan for this Puja. I am once again planning to do my month long blog marathon and this is also part of one of my 101 things wish list.

If you are following my blog for some time, you must have seen the blog marathon I did last year. Though it was hectic last time, but I could manage to complete it and this time again,,, hopefully I will be able to complete. Please wish me luck.

Let me know you how I have made this.

Masaledar Chicken Wings

Ingredients for Masaledar Chicken Wings

  • Chicken wings – 8-10
  • Onion – 1,
  • Garlic – 8 cloves
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green chili – as per taste
  • Salt, Turmeric, Red chili powder, kashmiri chili powder, black pepper powder, lemon juice
  • Whole garam masala, bay leaf
  • Oil for cooking
  • Mustard paste – 2 tsp ( don’t omit it !!)

How to make Masaledar Chicken Wings

Marinate the chicken wings with salt, turmeric, red chili powder and a spoonful of lemon juice for 30 minutes.

Make a paste of onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and green chili, Make sure that you have taken garlic double of ginger.

Heat oil in a kadai and fry the marinated chicken wings in batches.

Take time and fry them nicely till golden in color. Keep aside.

In the same pan, add some more oil and then add whole garam masala and bay leaf. Fry till it becomes aromatic.

Add the masala paste along with salt, kashmiri chili powder, turmeric and black pepper powder. Heat quotient of the dish would obviously be your preference, but we like it on the hotter side.

Fry the masala really well and add the mustard paste. Fry again.

When oil starts coming out of the masala, add a cup of hot water.

Once it starts boiling, add the fried chicken wings carefully.

Continue cooking over medium heat with a lid on, till the wings are cooked through.

Cook till the water evaporates and the chicken wings are covered with masala. The dish should start oozing the oil. Ad just the seasoning and you are done.

Serve hot.
