Prawn cauliflower stir fry is a very quick recipe if you have some sturdy vegetable like cauliflower and prawn. I am even trying to figure out how it would taste if I make it with squash. Will definitely try out and share with you my experience.
Very easy to prepare, we liked the flavor of garlic in our vegetables. As with some other quick recipes, this one is also one of my savior when it comes to quickly stir something and place it on the dinner table in front of a hungry family including myself. Let me share with you a tips. Top up your noodles with this stir fry, the combo would serve as a very good lunch box idea too when you make it in batches and freeze it until the next day. However, it is too tasty to keep it out of your children, so be aware of the quantity.
Ingredients for prawn cauliflower stir fry:
- Prawns – 12-15, cleaned and deveined
- Cauliflower- 1, cut into florets
- Chopped Garlic- 1 tbsp
- Salt and pepper
- Fish sauce – a splash
- Corn flour – 1 tsp mixed in water
How to prepare prawn cauliflower stir fry:
Steam the cauliflower florets for 5 minutes. Shake the water and keep aside.
Lightly fry the prawns with a dash of salt and pepper. Remove from heat when it starts changing colors.
In the same pan, add some butter, and then add the chopped garlic.
Fry till you get the nice aroma of garlic and then add the blanched cauliflower.
Fry over high heat for a minute or two. Please ensure not to break the florets. Now add the prawns and mix well.
Cook for 3-4 minutes over medium heat. Add the fish sauce and salt and pepper as per the taste. Ensure that the vegetables are cooked through.
Finally add the corn flour mixed with water and give it a final stir. Corn flour is being added just to give it a shine, and there will not br any gravy. Mind the amount of corn flour.
Serve as a side. Can be done with other stardy winter vegetables too. You may add some sliced green chilli at the end if you like it hot.
