Gota Moshla Mangsho is a wonder recipe for a lazy cook like me , no grinding, no marination, just add the whole masalas and marinate and let the pressure cooker do the rest. Ideal for those hectic days or during festive days when you donot want to miss the fun and at the same time feed your family a happywala meal.
Ingredients for Gota Moshla Mangsho :
- Mutton – 500 gms
- Potato – 3, wash and cut into half, no need to peel
- Onion – 2, chopped roughly
- Ginger – 2 inch, chopped
- Garlic – 8-10, peeled and chopped
- Salt, turmeric
- Cumin amd coriander powder – 1/2 tsp each
- Kashmiri chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Sugar – 1-2 tsp
- Curd – 100 gm
- Green cardamom- 4
- Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
- Cloves – 3
- Tomato – 1, chopped
- Green chilli – 5-6, chopped
- Bayleaf – 2
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
How to cook Gota Moshla Mangsho:
Take the mutton in a pressure cooker. Add the onion and tomato .
Next goes the chopped ginger, garlic, salt, turmeric, cumin and coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder and green chilli.
Finally add the bayleaf and ehole garam masala which has bern pounded in a mortar. Add the mustard oil and two cups of water. Marinate this for 2 hours.
Pressure cook for 3 whistle . Release the pressure, open the pressure cooker and then add the potatoes. Adjust the seasoning and then pressure cook again for 2 whistles. Let the pressure be released on its own. Remove from pressure cooker and serve after sprinkling the coriander leaves.
