Some chatpata snacks for your next house party, full of flavour and goodness of vegetables but no compromise on taste, this is a crowd pleaser. I have some other recipes too using babycorn like this tandoori babycorn which you may wish to use.
- Baby corn – 1 pack
- Cornflour – 1/2 cup
- Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tbsp
- All purpose flour – 1/4 cup
- Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp
- Green chilli – 3 , cut diagonally
- Onion – 2, chopped
- Green, Red and Yellow capsicum – 1/2 each, roughly sliced
- Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
- Tomato Ketchup – 3 tbsp
- White oil
Cut the baby corn into 3 – 4 pieces. Mix half of the cornflour, all purpose flour, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, salt, 1 tsp soy sauce with water and soak the baby corn into this mixture for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated baby corn till golden brown. Keep aside.
In the same pan, heat some more oil if required. Then add the remaining ginger garlic paste, chopped onion and chopped green chilli. Saute for 4-5 minutes.
Next add the chopped capsicums and saute quickly over high heat.
Add all the sauces desolved in 1 tbsp of water and mix well with the vegetable. Add the remaining cornflour dissolved in little water and immediately add the fried babycorn. Mix well so that each babycorn is well coated with the sauce.
Adjust the seasoning and you are done with the dish. Enjoy as a side or snacks!!
